Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver expert, non-surgical vein treatment in a safe, personalised and supportive environment.

We were the first dedicated centre in Scotland to offer walk-in, walk-out treatment for varicose veins, providing an alternative to hospital surgery and general anaesthetic.

We care for adult patients experiencing symptoms such as aching, swelling and skin changes, as well as those who feel self-conscious about the appearance of their veins. We believe every patient deserves time, honesty, clinical excellence and clear information to make informed decisions.

From first enquiry through to follow-up, our aim is to ensure patients feel listened to, reassured and confident in their treatment journey.

Values

Clinical Excellence

Clinical excellence is the foundation of everything we do.

Every patient receives a comprehensive consultation, detailed examination and high-quality Colour Doppler ultrasound scan by a senior consultant vascular radiologist. Treatment is delivered using up-to-date, image-guided techniques by an experienced specialist team committed to ongoing professional development. We invest in learning, training and national and international collaboration to ensure that our patients benefit from the safest and most effective treatments available. Patient safety is always our highest priority.

Honesty and Transparency

We believe patients deserve complete clarity.

We are open about what treatment can achieve, what it cannot achieve and the realistic outcomes patients can expect. Risks, benefits and alternatives are clearly explained. All costs are transparent and published in advance. Patients are never pressured into treatment. They are encouraged to take time, ask questions and return with further queries before making a decision. Informed choice is central to our approach.

Personalised, Individual Care

We are not a large corporate chain. We are a dedicated independent specialist team.

Patients see the same consultant throughout their journey. They speak to the same clinical manager and team members. We take time to understand each person’s symptoms, anxieties,
lifestyle and expectations. Appointments are arranged with flexibility. We do not charge in advance. Treatment is planned around what works best for the individual’s work and home life. We believe healthcare should feel personal, not transactional.

Communication and Reassurance

Good clinical care extends far beyond the technical procedure.

From the first phone call, patients are listened to and supported. Findings are explained clearly and in language that makes sense. Information leaflets are provided, and there is always time for questions. During treatment, we create a calm and unhurried environment. Patients are kept informed throughout the procedure unless they prefer not to be. Music of their choice can be played, and friendly conversation helps ease anxiety. After treatment, when necessary, we proactively follow up to check on recovery. Patients can contact us directly at any time and speak to a clinical professional without navigating complicated systems. Sharon is always available to ask questions at any point in the process.

Shared Decision Making

We believe treatment decisions should be made together.

Patients are given a clear explanation of their condition and the available options. Where alternatives exist, these are discussed openly. Family members or friends are welcome at
consultations. There is no obligation to proceed immediately. Patients are supported to reflect, consider theiroptions and make decisions at their own pace.

A Dedicated Team

Behind the scenes, we are a close-knit team with decades of experience in specialist vein care.

We hold ourselves accountable to high standards. We regularly review our practice, engage in continuing professional development and remain committed to learning.
If we welcome new team members, they must share our dedication to clinical excellence, compassion, honesty and patient-centred care.
